Riot Games brought me in to direct their World Championship film, with the mission to celebrate its star players and the defining moments that shaped League of Legends esport history. Working with a small but mighty team, we re-imagined the game’s 3D world through a hand-drawn lens, shifting the palette and visual language to give this iconic universe a fresh heartbeat. The result struck a chord, the film has racked up nearly 100 million views on YouTube, becoming one of Riot’s most-watched pieces.
